Innovative smartphones in Huawei’s pipeline for 2025
Huawei has launched one of the most innovative vertical foldable phones, the Pura X. But that’s just the beginning, as the company’s chairman recently hinted that Huawei has more innovative smartphones in the pipeline to launch in 2025.
Richard Yu, the Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman, had a small talk with some popular Chinese actors. During the conversation, one of the actors asked what plans the company has for the second-generation Mate XT tri-foldable.
Yu initially tried to avoid the question by saying that his team is working on such products that lead innovation, and other brands cannot dare to think of making them.
But when the actors once again insisted on talking about the next-gen tri-fold, Huawei Chairman said that the company has many more innovative smartphones for 2025.

After Pura X, the new innovative product in the queue is the Pura 80 series. Rumors say that the flagship lineup could debut in August. Though there’s no official information yet from the company. Hence, we have to wait for a clear announcement.
But as per leaked revelations, the Pura 80 series will bring major upgrades in terms of design and camera system. The device may sport Huawei’s self-developed camera setup. Another addition could be a 10x optical zoom, just like the P40 Pro+.
We may also see a quadrant-style camera bump this time with the Pura 80 series. Dual-layer OLED and side-mounted fingerprint sensors can also be the new add-ons.

The Nova 14 series is also on the list. Despite being a mid-ranger, the lineup can bring a new look and more interesting features. It could flaunt new AI camera tools to enhance the photography experience at an affordable price.
The Mate 80 series, which is already considered the next powerful line, is expected to work on the overheating aspect. The device could be the first to feature an active cooling fan, reducing the heating problems in the internal system.
On the flip side, it might introduce an even better Kirin chipset than the 9020. Apart from regular smartphones, the company also has new foldable PCs, tablets, and more.
